Maintenance Handyman | Static Site

Full Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday

We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Handyman to join a facilities team based at a large critical static site.
n
This is a varied role carrying out general repairs, preventative maintenance and minor works across the facility. You'll suit this position if you're a practical all rounder who enjoys fixing things and working across different maintenance tasks each day.

The Role
n
Your day to day duties may include:
n
n
General building repairs and maintenance
n
Touch up painting, patching walls and minor plaster repairs
n
Basic plumbing including taps, toilets, sinks and minor leaks
n
Changing light bulbs, fittings and basic lighting maintenance
n
Minor carpentry including doors, locks, handles, shelving and cabinetry
n
Repairing door closers, hinges and general hardware




n
Hanging fixtures, signage, noticeboards and other fittings
n
Minor furniture repairs and assembly
n
Basic tiling, grouting and silicone repairs
n
General preventative maintenance and site inspections
n
Responding to maintenance requests and minor reactive works
n
Coordinating with specialist trades where required
n
Ensuring works are completed safely and with minimal disruption to the site
n

About You
n
n
Previous handyman, building maintenance or facilities maintenance experience
n
Good general knowledge across basic plumbing, painting and carpentry
n
Comfortable working independently across a large static site
n
Solid problem solving skills and a practical approach to maintenance
n
Well presented with good communication skills
n
Full Australian Driver Licence
n
Relevant trade experience or qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
n
