Job Description
Youth Off The Streets is a not‐for‐profit organisation that provides safety, support and opportunities for young people to build a positive future. Our services include alternative high school education, crisis accommodation and housing support, alcohol and other drugs counselling, youth justice programs, life skills and employment pathways, cultural support and community engagement.

The Role:
n
We are seeking a Scholarships Coordinator to deliver Youth Off The Streets' National Scholarship Program. This is a full-time, maximum-term position funded through to December ****.
n
This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people in achieving their education and training goals through scholarships, mentoring and personalised support. Working from a strengths‐based approach, you will build meaningful relationships with scholarship recipients, helping them develop education pathways, access opportunities and overcome barriers to success.
n
You will play a key role in coordinating scholarship program activities, supporting recipients and mentors, building relationships with schools and community organisations, and contributing to the ongoing development and growth of the program.
n
What you'll do:
n
Provide individual support, guidance and case management to scholarship recipients
n
Assist young people to develop and achieve their education, training and career goals
n
Coordinate Education Pathway Plans, budgets, case notes and program documentation
n
Support scholarship recipients to access funding and support services
n
Build and maintain relationships with mentors, families, schools,



training providers and community organisations
n
Facilitate opportunities for connection, engagement and learning among scholarship recipients
n
Support the promotion, implementation and continuous improvement of scholarship programs
n
Assist with scholarship application, selection and reporting processes
n
Coordinate mentor engagement activities and provide ongoing support to mentors
n
Contribute to events and program initiatives, including the annual Scholarships Award Ceremony
n
What you'll bring:
n
Minimum 2 years' experience working with young people in youth work, education, community services or a related field
n
Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services or a related qualification
n
Demonstrated ability to support young people to achieve education, training or employment goals
n
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
n
Experience coordinating programs, projects or case management activities
n
Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
n
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
n
Cultural competence and commitment to inclusive, respectful practice
n




Understanding of child protection responsibilities and the principles of a child safe organisation
n
Current Working With Children Check and Driver Licence
n
