Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-performing technology delivery team responsible for implementing and enhancing critical enterprise infrastructure platforms. This will be initially a 6-month contract, with likely extensions for the right candidate and is based in the western suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria.

5-7 years' experience as an Infrastructure Engineering.

About the Role:
n
This is a hands-on project delivery role where you will design, build, configure, test and implement enterprise infrastructure solutions across Windows Server, Linux, VMware, storage, backup, identity and automation technologies.
n
Working alongside architects, project managers, cyber security specialists, network engineers and vendors, you will play a key role in delivering secure, resilient and highly available technology platforms that support a large and complex operational environment.
n
Key Skills and Experience:
n
You are a technically strong Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys delivering complex enterprise technology projects and solving challenging technical problems:
n
n
5+ years' experience as a seniorenterprise infrastructure engineer.
n
Strong Windows Server administration experience across Windows Server ****, ****, **** and newer environments.
n




Experience supporting Linux platforms including Red Hat, CentOS and Ubuntu.
n
Strong VMware vSphere administration experience.
n
Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID and enterprise identity services.
n
Knowledge of storage, backup and disaster recovery technologies.
n
Experience working within project delivery environments.
n
Solid troubleshooting, analytical and documentation skills.
n
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.
n
n
Desirable Skills & Certifications:
n
n
VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, DRS, HA and vSAN.
n
Windows Server Failover Clustering.
n
SQL Always On Availability Groups.
n
PowerShell scripting and automation.
n
Ansible automation.
n
CIS security hardening standards.
n
Vulnerability remediation and security governance.
n
Git-based source control and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
n
VMware Certification.
n
Microsoft Certification.
n
Azure Certification.
n
ITIL Certification.
n
