We are seeking a Finance Officer to play an important role in supporting day-to-day financial operations and maintaining effective financial processes.
Job Description
About the role
Carers Victoria is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our Finance and Accounts team. This part time role is suited to someone with experience in a similar position who is organised, results-driven and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work in a timely manner.
What you'll be doing
Assisting employees and managers with payroll-related enquiries and preparing fortnightly payroll for submission to our payroll provider
Processing accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
Supporting financial reporting and maintaining accurate financial records
Assisting with month-end processes, reconciliations, audit requirements and financial reporting activities
Providing general finance support and undertaking other duties as needed.
About you
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
Demonstrated experience and knowledge across accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and finance administration functions
Strong digital skills including Excel, Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
A proactive and customer-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively, building positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
A reliable and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities
Qualifications
A qualification in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience (final-year students will also be considered).
Willingness to provide a current Working with Children Check and undertake apolicecheck prior to commencement

Salary: $84,008-gross pro rata+ plus superannuation, with some flexibility to negotiate based on experience and qualifications
