Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced WHS Manager to join a purpose-driven not-for-profit organisation committed to the safety and wellbeing of its people.
n
The WHS function has established a WHS roadmap and action plan, with this 12-month contract playing a key role in delivering strategic projects, strengthening the WHS Management System and embedding a positive safety culture across the organisation.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead the implementation of a new WHS software platform to support the WHS Management System;
n
Partner with external consultants to develop and enhance WHS policies, procedures, guidelines, registers and tools;
n
Review and strengthen emergency management, fire safety and preparedness processes across the organisation;
n
Lead WHS projects and continuous improvement initiatives aligned to the organisation's three-year WHS roadmap;
n
Provide expert advice on WHS legislation, risk management and organisational safety requirements across multiple jurisdictions;
n
Develop and implement practical WHS frameworks, procedures, tools and action plans to improve safety maturity;
n
Partner with leaders and stakeholders to strengthen safety culture, consultation and proactive risk management; and
n
Analyse WHS data, monitor proactive safety initiatives and provide reporting, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate
n
You will be a personable,
pragmatic and hands-on WHS qualified who enjoys working collaboratively to create meaningful change. You will be confident operating at a strategic level while remaining comfortable getting into the detail and working directly with operational teams.
n
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who can influence stakeholders, navigate competing priorities and bring people along on the WHS journey.

Key Requirements
n
n
Tertiary qualification in WHS, Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline;
n
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulatory requirements and WHS Management Systems;
n
Proven experience developing and implementing WHS frameworks, policies, procedures and systems;
n
Demonstrated experience leading WHS projects and continuous improvement initiatives;
n
Strong stakeholder engagement, consultation and influencing skills across all levels of an organisation; and
n
Experience using WHS data and reporting to identify trends, measure performance and drive preventative initiatives.
