About The Role
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled and motivated Cancer Nurse to join our dedicated oncology team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive, patient-focused setting delivering high-quality systemic anti-cancer therapy and holistic care to patients undergoing treatment.
You will play a vital role in coordinating and delivering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies and supportive treatments in a day unit setting, ensuring safe, effective and person-centred care.
You will work collaboratively with the patient, consumers and other health care professionals, working to establish and evaluate plans of care.
Key Responsibilities
Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive treatments safely and in accordance with protocols
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care
Monitor patients for treatment side effects and manage complications appropriately
Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and the wider multidisciplinary team
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold clinical governance standards
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
We Are Looking For a Nurse Who Is
Currently Registered as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Demonstrated recent experience working in cancer nursing, understanding of cancer types, treatment modalities and their side effects.
Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused
Organised with excellent communication skills
