The Opportunity

Are you an experienced and safety-focused Tyre Fitter with a passion for maintaining heavy mining equipment? Thiess is seeking an experienced and motivated Tyre Fitter to join our high-performing team at Curragh North.
n
As a key member of the Curragh North maintenance team, you'll be responsible for safely maintaining and servicing our heavy earthmoving tyre fleet while supporting reliable equipment performance and operational productivity.
n
Roster: 7/7 (Days & Nights, *****-hour shifts) | Location: Curragh North, QLD | Employment Type: Permanent

As the Tyre Fitter, you will
n
n
Remove, fit and service tyres, rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment.
n
Conduct tyre pressure inspections, adjustments and reporting to ensure fleet reliability and safety.
n
Identify and report equipment quality issues, access technical information, and contribute to continuous improvement and maintenance outcomes.

About you
n
n
Experience working as a Tyre Fitter in an open cut mining environment maintaining a heavy earthmoving tyre fleet.
n
Current AUR***** Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing or AURKTJ011 & AURKTJ012.
n
Current Driver's Licence (HR Licence highly regarded).
n
Solid commitment to safety, quality workmanship and teamwork.
n
Ability to follow site procedures and deliver results in a dynamic mining environment.
