About the opportunity
n
We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join a large‐scale, well‐established food processing facility in regional Queensland, roughly 1.5 hours from Brisbane and an hour from the Sunshine Coast. The site runs a mature, well‐supported maintenance function - the majority of work is preventative rather than reactive, spare parts availability sits around 99%, and there's significant capital investment planned across the site. This role has come about as the business splits a previously combined planning role back into two focused positions - this planner role, and a separate projects‐focused role - driven by growing workload and project volume. Reports to: Engineering Manager. Employment type: Full‐time, permanent (salaried). Hours: Monday–Friday, 7am start

About the role
n
You'll be the custodian of planning and scheduling across the site, working closely with team leaders, production and stores to make sure jobs are fully planned before they're scheduled - and that statutory compliance inspections happen on time, every time.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Build accurate, achievable weekly, monthly and shutdown maintenance schedules
n
Manage the preventative maintenance schedule to keep all equipment PM tasks on track
n
Act as custodian of statutory compliance for the engineering department
n
Maintain accurate data within the CMMS, including PM functions and reporting
n
Support and troubleshoot the CMMS platform, including end‐user support
n
Source competitive quotes for spare parts, materials and contract works
n
Manage priorities and collaborate with stakeholders to optimise scheduled jobs
n
Run budget updates, cost‐saving initiatives and downtime/asset health reporting
n

About you
n
You bring a genuine trade background - mechanical or electrical, combined with strong planning, budgeting and computer skills. You're a self‐starter who drives change rather than waiting to be told, and you communicate well across a diverse, multicultural workforce. You will ideally have:

A trade qualification (mechanical or electrical) - essential, not just exposure
n
Around 5+ years' experience
n
Proficient capability in CMMS
n
Strong budgeting and cost management experience, including setting up and tracking budgets
n
Open to candidates from any industry background - priority is trade grounding and capital management skill
n
