DT Infrastructure is seeking a
Health & Safety Advisor
to join our team delivering the
Smoky Creek Solar Farm near Westwood, Queensland
.
Operating on a
2:1 FIFO roster from Brisbane
, with full camp accommodation provided, you'll work closely with our project leadership, supervisors, workforce and subcontractors to support safe delivery across the project.
This is a hands-on site role where you'll spend time in the field conducting inspections and observations, supporting high-risk construction activities, coaching frontline leaders and helping our teams identify and manage risk. You'll also support incident investigations, SWMS reviews, audits, reporting and the implementation of our HSE management systems and improvement initiatives.
With civil, piling and mechanical installation activities forming part of the works, it's a great opportunity to broaden your experience on a major renewable energy project while making a genuine impact on safety culture and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide practical H&S; advice, coaching and support to project teams, supervisors, contractors and subcontractors
Conduct site inspections,
task observations and audits across construction activities, identifying hazards and supporting corrective actions
Review SWMS, risk assessments and high-risk planned works to ensure appropriate controls and compliance are in place
Lead and participate in incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions
Support pre-starts, toolbox talks, inductions and HSE training while promoting strong safety engagement across the workforce
Monitor HSE performance, maintain safety documentation and contribute to project reporting, risk registers and continuous improvement initiatives
Profile description:
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent, with approximately 2-5 years' experience in an H&S; Advisor or similar role
Construction industry experience with a robust understanding of WHS legislation, contractor management and compliance requirements
ICAM Basic Investigator qualification and experience conducting incident investigations, audits and workplace inspections
Practical experience implementing H&S; management systems, risk assessments, SWMS and operational safety controls
Strong communication and influencing skills with the confidence to engage effectively with frontline workers, supervisors and project leadership
Construction White Card and unrestricted C Class driver's licence,
with renewable energy, piling or mechanical construction exposure advantageous
