Our client is an established oil and gas operator with producing assets in Queensland. They have a strong focus on safe, reliable operations and are seeking an experienced Production Operator to join their operations team.

About the Role
n
This is a permanent full-time opportunity working on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster at a Queensland-based oil and gas asset. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production facilities, monitoring plant performance and supporting day-to-day production activities.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Operate and monitor production plant and associated equipment.
n
Conduct routine inspections and operational checks.
n
Monitor plant conditions and respond to operational issues.
n
Perform start-up, shutdown and isolation activities.
n




Identify and report equipment faults and abnormalities.
n
Maintain accurate production and operational records.
n
Support maintenance activities and equipment troubleshooting.
n
Follow operating procedures, permit systems and site safety requirements.
n
Participate in emergency response and site safety activities.
n
Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to maintain reliable production.
n

Skills & Experience
n
n
Previous Production Operator experience within oil & gas, energy or a similar process environment.
n
Experience operating process plant and associated equipment.
n
Understanding of start-up, shutdown and isolation procedures.
n
Strong knowledge of safe operating practices and permit-to-work systems.
n
Ability to troubleshoot operational issues.
n
Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
n
Good communication and teamwork skills.
n
Relevant trade qualification or industry certification highly regarded.
n
Current driver's licence and Australian work rights.
