Steelcorp is looking for an experienced
Site Supervisor
to join our growing Construction team and take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of commercial construction projects across NSW and potentially interstate.
This isn't a role where you'll spend your week behind a desk.
You'll be on site, coordinating trades, solving problems, driving the program and making sure our projects are delivered
safely, efficiently, on time and to the standard our clients expect
.
This role involves regular travel and periods away from home during the working week.

Site Supervisor – Commercial Construction
The Role
Reporting to our Head of Construction or Project Manager, you'll be the person on the ground responsible for keeping the project moving.
You'll take ownership of:
Managing day-to-day construction activities on site
Coordinating subcontractors, trades and suppliers
Driving the construction program and sequencing of works
Ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications and engineering requirements
Managing site safety, inductions, toolbox talks and compliance
Monitoring workmanship and maintaining high quality standards
Identifying and resolving site issues before they become delays
Coordinating materials, deliveries and site logistics
Maintaining accurate site diaries and reporting progress, risks and issues




Managing defects and supporting project completion and handover
Creating a professional site environment for our clients, subcontractors and project partners
You'll work closely with our Project Managers but will be trusted to
take ownership of what happens on site and get the job done.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a practical construction professional who leads from the front.
Ideally, you'll bring:
3-5 years' experience
in construction site supervision
Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site operations
Proven experience coordinating subcontractors and trades
Strong understanding of construction safety and compliance
Ability to confidently read and interpret construction drawings and documentation
Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
A practical, solutions-focused approach
A high level of personal accountability for safety, quality and project outcomes
Current White Card and relevant site safety certifications
Australian citizenship or permanent residency
Experience in
commercial, industrial, structural steel or Design & Construct projects
will be highly regarded.




A trade background or construction qualification is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
The Important Part – Travel
Our projects aren't all in one location.
You'll be required to
travel to project sites and be prepared to stay away from home during the working week when projects require it.
We want to be upfront about this.
This role will suit someone who enjoys getting out on site, working across different locations and projects, and wants the variety that comes with supervising construction across a broader geographic area.
