Job Description
We have a 12-month, fixed-term contract available, on an 8:6 roster, Monday-Monday, FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires.
As a Geologist, you will be responsible for delivering geological interpretation and data to support underground production planning and resource development.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
Complete resource block reviews and drill planning
Validate geological data and maintain database integrity
Support production through mapping and grade tracking
Contribute to reporting, reconciliation and improvement initiatives

Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville.
Flights are direct to the onsite airport, and the mine is only 3.5 km from camp-the perfect distance for a sunset walk or run home along a purpose-built walking track. About the Candidate
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
Experience in mining, preferably in underground hard rock environments
Robust analytical and interpretation skills
Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
Effective communication of technical information
High level of organisation and data accuracy
Proficiency with geological software tools
Qualifications for this position are:
Tertiary qualifications in Geology or associated Engineering discipline
First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Current C class driving licence (manual)
