Principal Program Officer | Transformation Management Office

Are you a highly organised PMO, Portfolio or Program professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys bringing clarity, governance and structure to large-scale transformation initiatives?
n
We are partnering with a major Queensland Government division responsible for delivering and maintaining critical infrastructure assets across the state. With a significant transformation agenda underway, an opportunity has arisen for a talented Principal Program Officer to join the Transformation Management Office (TMO) and support the successful delivery of a large business transformation portfolio.
n
The Prospect Working within a high-performing Transformation Management Office, you'll play a key role in supporting portfolio governance, executive reporting, planning, assurance and performance management activities. This is a varied role that will see you working closely with executives, program leaders, project managers, finance teams and key stakeholders to ensure informed decision-making and effective portfolio oversight.

You'll be responsible for:
n
n
Coordinating portfolio governance and assurance activities
n
Preparing executive papers, briefings and governance artefacts
n
Monitoring portfolio risks, issues, dependencies and delivery performance
n
Consolidating and analysing portfolio reporting for senior leadership
n
Facilitating stakeholder engagement and governance forums
n
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across portfolio management practices and reporting frameworks
n

About You We're interested in speaking with professionals who can demonstrate:
n
n
Experience within a PMO, Portfolio Management Office, Transformation Office or similar environment
n
Strong governance, reporting, planning and portfolio coordination capabilities
n
Experience supporting large and complex programs of work
n
Excellent stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills
n
The ability to analyse information and translate it into meaningful insights and recommendations
n
A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach to delivery
n
n
Experience within government or a large, highly regulated environment will be highly regarded. Exposure to portfolio reporting tools such as Power BI, SharePoint and advanced Excel is also desirable.
