headspace leads the way in providing early intervention services to young people aged ***** years. We are seeking a passionate and community-connected Social & Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Youth Worker to join our team in Cowra, NSW (Wiradjuri Country).
n
This is an exciting opportunity to support young people and their families by providing culturally safe, youth-friendly support that strengthens social, emotional and mental wellbeing. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will help young people access services, build connections to community, and navigate challenges that impact their health and wellbeing.

About The Role
n
As the SEWB Youth Worker, you will:
n
n
Support young people aged ***** years to improve their social, emotional and mental wellbeing.
n
Build strong relationships with young people, families, community organisations and service providers.
n
Assist young people to access services, referrals and community supports.
n
Participate in community engagement and health promotion activities.
n
Advocate for young people and support coordinated care planning.
n
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
n
Contribute to culturally secure and inclusive service delivery.
n
Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
This is a genuine occupational requirement for this role.
n
Experience supporting the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
n
Relevant qualifications in Mental Health, Community Services, Primary Health or a related field, or equivalent experience.
n
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
n
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
Excellent organisation, problem-solving and time management skills.
n
A current Australian Driver Licence
n
A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
n
