Position: Registered Nurse Grade 5
Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Mackay, QLD
Contract: ASAP – 13 September ****
Working hours: Rotating 8 and 12-hour shifts, as per roster
Essential Experience To be considered, candidates must have:
Minimum 3 years' recent ICU experience
Current AHPRA registration
Must be competent and confident in mobilising a ventilated patient
Ability to work rotating 8 and 12-hour shifts
Mandatory Competencies Candidates must hold/currently demonstrate:
Advanced Life Support (ALS)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Manual and patient handling
Infection control and hand hygiene
Mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse and neglect
Occupational Violence Prevention Training, including de-escalation and situational awareness
Medication management, including QPHS requirements
Desirable Experience Experience with the following will be highly regarded:

MetaVision
Previous experience within Queensland Health
Previous experience within Mackay HHS
Previous nursing experience in Australia
