The prospect
We have an opportunity to join our highly regarded Construction & Infrastructure practice in Brisbane. You'll be part of a sub-team of 15 lawyers specialising in all aspects of front-end and back-end construction, acting for a broad range of prominent clients across diverse projects. Working closely with Partners Colin Harris & Paul Gordon, you'll be involved in:
Managing large-scale construction and infrastructure matters
Leading and advising on adjudications, arbitrations and civil proceedings
Gathering, assessing, and organising relevant evidence with a forensic mindset
Drafting detailed and strategic legal submissions
Applying a deep understanding of construction law to complex matters
Engaging directly with clients and provide commercially strategic advice
Service an existing client base with ongoing matters and significant workflow
This is a well-established and high-performing team with a strong, collaborative culture. The junior lawyers are highly capable, and the team benefits from extensive Partner experience.

To succeed in this role, ideally you'll have
ideally, 5+ years post admission experience
significant exposure to, and interest in, construction law
commercial acumen and critical thinking capabilities
leadership skills to help develop our up-and-coming junior cohort
