VERSO is a design-led property developer delivering residential and mixed-use projects across South East Queensland. With a growing pipeline of volumetric modular developments ranging from 5 to 30 storeys, we are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our Construction team.
n
This role will be responsible for managing and coordinating the design process across the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects are optimised for manufacturing, transportation, installation, and construction delivery.
n
Working closely with architects, consultants, manufacturers, contractors and internal project teams, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of some of the region's most significant modular construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams through all project phases
n
Manage design development in accordance with MMC and DfMA principles
n
Drive design quality, compliance, risk management and constructability outcomes
n
Manage design interfaces between factory manufacturing and onsite construction
n
Coordinate design reviews, approvals, technical governance and documentation
n
Collaborate with manufacturing and project delivery teams to optimise project outcomes
n




Support procurement, fabrication, testing, commissioning and installation activities
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors and key stakeholders
n
Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the business

About You
n
n
Degree qualified in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline
n
3+ yearsexperience in design management within construction or property development
n
Experience in modular construction, prefabrication, industrialised construction or DfMA highly regarded
n
Strong understanding of design coordination, compliance and construction delivery
n
Experience managing complex stakeholder groups and design teams
n
Knowledge of BIM and collaborative digital delivery environments
n
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
