As Afford continues to grow, we're looking for a Claims and Audit Officer to help make sure NDIS claims are accurate, services are recorded correctly and payments are processed on time.
Based at our head office in Parramatta, you'll work across Finance, Operations and Service Delivery to help keep our claiming processes running smoothly. This is initially a
6-month contract with the potential to become permanent
.
About the role:
Manage NDIS service bookings and claiming information to support accurate billing
Work with Finance and service teams to resolve claim and invoice errors
Maintain accurate client funding, plan and service information
Help ensure NDIS claims are submitted accurately and within required timeframes
What you will do:
Ensure NDIS service agreements have corresponding service bookings and required claiming structures
Work with Revenue Accounting to resolve outstanding claims and invoices
Coordinate information needed to investigate and correct claim errors
Provide Finance with accurate information to support the correction and resubmission of claims
Maintain accurate client information, including onboarding, offboarding and NDIS plan changes
Collate and manage participant NDIA funding information for organisational reporting
Liaise with Support Coordinators, Plan Managers and Service Managers regarding service summaries and bookings
Work closely with Rostering and Scheduling to ensure service changes are accurately reflected in claims




Track client plan dates and maintain accurate records across Afford systems
Ensure claiming and client information is recorded accurately and within required timeframes
Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Identify and respond to issues, complaints and feedback in line with Afford's policies and processes
Contribute to effective collaboration across Finance, Operations and Service Delivery
What you will bring:
Previous experience working with NDIS plans, service bookings, plan managers and self-managed clients is preferred
Experience with financial claiming through government or commercial portals, such as PRODA or Medicare, is preferred
Certificate IV in Accounting, Disability Services or an equivalent qualification, and/or relevant knowledge and experience
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
Intermediate computer skills, including MS Excel, are essential
Experience with rostering or similar systems is beneficial
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to build effective relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
A collaborative approach and robust team ethic




Excellent customer service skills and a solutions-focused approach
A genuine commitment to working in a for-purpose organisation
Current Australian C Class driver's licence
Willingness to undertake interstate travel as required
