Personal assistant Specialist Surgeon (Oral and Maxillofacial)

***** per hour (Negotiable with after 3 months and based on performance and experience)
We are a busy and professional Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery clinic looking for an experienced personal assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in customer relations, billing, coordinating theatre lists and administration. The applicant will require the ability to work independently, have strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and work well in a dynamic team environment.
About the Role
You will play a key part in the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, supporting surgeons and patients alike. The position is full time (Monday to Friday) and requires flexibility to work across our Brisbane CBD, Everton Park North Lakes and Mater Private rooms. We are looking for someone who is interested in a long term position in a valued team that historically has a low staff turnover. The position has scope for career progression in a supportive environment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Being a personal assistant to a well known specialist Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon
Performing administrative tasks and data entry into medical software (Xestro)
Answering phones
Welcoming patients to the practice




Supporting surgeons and staff in daily practice operationsActing as a personal assistant covering other specialist oral and maxillofacial surgeons when needed.
Clinical support:
Coordinating equipment for surgical lists.
Assisting in surgical procedures within the practice when required (Dental extractions/Biopsies)
Successful Candidate attributes and skills
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise
Initiative and independence, while working effectively in a team environment
Professional phone manner, communication skills, and customer service focus
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with patients
Professional presentation and a positive, proactive attitude
Ability to work under pressure in a rapid-paced environment
Flexibility to travel between practice locations
Procedural (dental) assisting experience is beneficial but not mandatory
