Patients are admitted to Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) from the Emergency Department (ED) in collaboration with the Medical Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to ensure that each patient receives high-quality, appropriate care in a safe and holistic setting. The Medical Ambulatory Care Unit (MACU) serves as the MAU discharge lounge, offering a comfortable space for patients to wait while final discharge processes—such as infusions, blood tests, prescriptions, or transport—are completed.

About your role:

Your main tasks may include (but are not limited to):
n
n




Routine patient cares including assistance with activities of daily living.
n
Responsibility for planning and delivery of service to an allocated patient load.
n
Implementation of risk management and care plans.
n
Routine and complex medication management and administration.
n
Recognising and responding to deteriorating patients.
n
n
