Job Description
Rosetta Store & Bakery is a family owned business in the northern suburbs of Hobart producing a range of savoury and sweet pastries, cakes and slices and a range of bread products for our retail store which also trades as an IGA Supermarket. A full time position is available for an experienced baker or a 3rd or 4th year apprentice who will be responsible for working in all aspects of daily production.

Mixing and working with doughs

Preparing puff pastry, shortcrust pastry, biscuit doughs
n
Making a variety of pies and quiches
n
Making cakes and slices
n
Working with cream and custard products
n
Working in a seven day roster to include weekends and public holidays
n
Early morning starts at 4:00 AM as required for bakery operations

About the Candidate
n
n
Australian citizen or permanent resident with valid work rights
n
Experience working as a Baker or in a similar role
n
Baking Certificate qualifications highly desirable or in training as a 3rd or 4th year apprentice
n
Minimum 2 years of baking experience required for non-apprentice
candidatesExcellent
baking skills with strong attention to detail
n
Ability to prioritise tasks, resolve problems and meet deadlines
n
Valuable communication and numeracy skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
