How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do:

Process accounts payable transactions, reconcile vendor accounts, and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
n
Verify transactions, ensuring they are correctly recorded, appropriately coded, and match corresponding purchase orders, while confirming receipt of goods or services during the invoice approval process.
n
Record daily financial transactions, assist with posting processes, including credit card transactions, and support the reconciliation of banking and accounting-related transactions.
n
Prepare and maintain accurate financial documents, such as invoices, bills, and statements, while verifying financial records and correcting errors as needed.
n
Collaborate with vendors, internal stakeholders,



and other departments to maintain positive relationships and ensure smooth financial operations.
n
Manage internal workflows for the approval of purchase orders and invoices, ensuring accurate cost and departmental coding.
n
Question and challenge transactions when needed to ensure accuracy and compliance.
n
Promote continuous improvement across the finance team by identifying and implementing process improvements.
n
Support the finance team with accounts payable/receivable management, expense analysis, credit account applications, and other administrative or project-based tasks as requested by the Finance Manager or Chief Financial Officer.
n
Any other duties as required which are within the skills and capabilities of the incumbent.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
n
n
At least 3 years proven experience in managing an accounts payable function
n
Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principals
n
Solid understanding of Xero or Epicor Kinetic accounting system advantageous.
n
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
n
Familiar with EFTsure
n
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
n
National Police Check essential.
n

Proven experience in coordinating with employees and suppliers to obtain documentation that substantiates expenditures.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams.

Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to meet deadlines consistently.

Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as the company continues to grow.
n
