This role is all about employer engagement, business development, and championing inclusive employment across Hunter and Lower Hunter regions. You'll be out on the road, meeting employers, opening doors, and helping businesses see the value of partnering with Employment Plus.

Why this role matters
n
As a Business Development Partner, you will work directly with employers to understand their workforce needs and support them to hire jobseekers with disability, injury or health conditions. You'll be the connector between local businesses and our services; influencing, educating and building long‐term partnerships that lead to sustainable employment outcomes.
n
(This role is known internally as a Recruitment Partner, but functions primarily as a Business Development / Employer Engagement position.)

What you'll be doing
n
n
Develop employer partnerships across Hunter and Lower Hunter regions, working closely with local site teams
n
Identify workforce needs and provide tailored recruitment solutions
n
Advocate for inclusive hiring by helping employers understand and accommodate candidate needs
n
Match job‐ready candidates through referrals, job carving and reverse marketing
n
Collaborate with Employment Consultants to align employer opportunities with caseload needs
n
Provide post‐placement support to ensure sustainable outcomes for both employers and participants
n
Maintain strong labour market knowledge to identify emerging opportunities
n
Achieve performance targets with a solutions‐focused, high‐performance mindset
n

About you
n
n
Business development or B2B sales experience - confident in approaching, influencing and building relationships with employers
n
Employment services experience - particularly in barrier management, reverse marketing or disability employment
n
Understanding of disability employment barriers and the ability to communicate these sensitively and persuasively
n
Strong networking and stakeholder communication skills
n
Knowledge of local employers and labour market trends
n
A performance‐focused mindset with proven results in achieving KPIs
n
A valid Driver's Licence and own vehicle and willingness to travel across multiple sites
n
n
Relevant qualifications in Employment Services, Community Services or related areas are desirable.
