Job Description
A brand new family-focused kids cafe is opening in Erina on the Central Coast in late September — and we're looking for an experienced Venue Manager to lead the venue from day one.

This is a founding leadership role. You'll be the face of the business for our customers and our team, with genuine end-to-end ownership of how the venue runs. Ownership will be closely involved strategically and financially, but you'll be trusted to lead operations on the ground.

About the role

Full operational leadership of the venue — admissions, cafe, and party bookings
n
Lead, hire, train and roster the front-of-house team
n
Own the customer experience and be the visible face of the business
n
Manage supplier relationships, stock levels, and daily cash handling
n
Oversee our booking and POS platform (Roller) and party coordination
n
Support marketing initiatives and community engagement
n
Report to ownership with weekly performance updates against agreed KPIs
n
Maintain compliance across WHS, food safety, and child-safe practices
n

The schedule
n

Full-time role, daytime trading only — no late-night dinner service
n
Saturday and Sunday are core trading days (parties and family brunch)
n

Annualised salary structure (no wage surprises, weekend loadings absorbed)

About you
n
n
3+ years' experience in a venue management, assistant management, or senior supervisory role in hospitality, family entertainment, or a customer-facing retail workplace
n
Strong people leader — confident hiring, training and motivating a small team
n
Comfortable being the face of the business with customers and staff
n
Genuinely enjoys working in a family and child-focused environment
n
Commercially minded — comfortable reading rosters against wage %, managing stock, tracking bookings
n
Familiarity with hospitality POS or booking platforms (Roller experience a strong plus)
n
NSW RSA and Food Safety Supervisor certificates (or willingness to obtain pre-opening)
n
Current NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain pre-opening)
n
Self-directed, trustworthy, and thrives with autonomy and clear accountability
