The Company Our client is a well-established and growing organisation with a strong presence in the Australian market.
They are currently experiencing a busy period within their finance function and are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the team on a temporary basis.

The Role Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will provide support across the day-to-day accounting function and assist with month-end and reporting activities.
Key responsibilities will include: Assisting with month-end close, including journals, reconciliations and accruals Preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations Assisting with general ledger maintenance and ensuring transactions are accurately recorded Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as required Assisting with cashflow,



reporting and financial analysis Investigating and resolving discrepancies across accounts Preparing financial information and reports for internal stakeholders Assisting with audit and compliance requirements Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks Your Profile To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting position Strong understanding of core accounting principles and month-end processes Experience with reconciliations, journals and general ledger accounting Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities A proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business Relevant accounting qualifications or studies towards an accounting qualification will be highly regarded Apply Today Please send your resume by clicking on the apply button.
