Revolution Forklifts is looking for a reliable, mechanically minded Truck Driver / Trade Assistant to join our team on the Gold Coast.
n
This is not just a driving role.
n
You'll be responsible for delivering and collecting forklifts and equipment using our tilt tray, recovering breakdown and non-running machines, and taking ownership of the truck and transport equipment.
n
When you're not on the road, you'll work alongside our technicians assisting with forklift preparation, servicing, repairs, yard duties and general workshop tasks.
n
This role would suit someone who enjoys machinery, wants variety in their day, and is keen to learn more than simply driving a truck.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Deliver and collect forklifts and equipment using our tilt tray
n
Recover breakdown and non-running machines when required
n
Safely load, restrain and unload equipment
n
Complete daily truck pre-starts and basic inspections
n
Keep the truck clean, greased and properly maintained
n
Maintain chains, straps, recovery gear and transport equipment
n
Assist with forklift washing, preparation and yard movements
n
Assist technicians with servicing, repairs and general workshop tasks
n
Complete parts runs and general logistics duties
n
Help keep the yard and workshop organized
n
Take ownership of the transport function and ensure equipment is ready when required
n

About you
n
We're looking for someone who:
n
n




Holds a current MR or HR truck licence
n
Has a good driving history
n
Is reliable and turns up when they say they will
n
Takes safety seriously
n
Is comfortable dealing directly with customers
n
Is mechanically minded or genuinely interested in machinery
n
Is physically capable of general yard and trade-assistant work
n
Is willing to learn equipment loading and restraint where required
n
Is happy to get out of the cab and help wherever needed
n
Takes pride in looking after vehicles, tools and equipment
n
Has Australian working rights
n
n
Tilt-tray experience, forklift experience, a forklift licence or previous mechanical/trade-assistant experience would all be highly regarded, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are more important to us than ticking every box.
