At headspace you will be part of something genuinely meaningful. The University Support Program is a team-oriented team working to build the capacity of Australian universities to improve mental health outcomes for staff and students through the delivery of training, resources and support following a suicide.

what you'll do
n
Working in this role, you will:
n
n
Facilitate online, or in-person training sessions to staff members from Australian universities
n
Develop and strengthen relationships with stakeholders from mental health and higher education sectors
n
Engage in the coordinated planning and implementation of training and capacity building strategies that a university can undertake to enhance existing mental health frameworks, and programs in place to support students and staff
n
Assist in content development for the Program
n
n
In this role, you may engage with young people and families navigating complex mental health and wellbeing concerns, including distressing or sensitive situations. We are committed to supporting our staff through supervision and reflective practice and encourage applicants to consider how this work may impact them personally.

what you'll bring
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
n
n
A tertiary qualification in education (including qualification in adult education), public health promotion,
an allied health discipline, or equivalent combination of relevant training and experience (minimum 3 years).
n
Experience working in collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, ideally including higher education stakeholders, university staff and sector representatives.
n
Working knowledge of the common social and mental health issues faced by young people (aged *****yrs) and experienced by higher education settings, including suicide prevention and postvention.
n
Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
n
