Job Description
The Finance & Business team plays a critical role in enabling informed, strategic decision-making across the organisation.
We provide high-quality financial analysis, planning, and performance insights that support leaders to allocate resources effectively and deliver sustainable results.
Our team partners closely with cost centre managers and operational leaders to strengthen financial capability, improve transparency, and drive continuous improvement.
Through proactive engagement, clear communication, and evidence-based advice, we help the organisation navigate budget pressures, meet accountability requirements, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
With a focus on collaboration, integrity, and service excellence, the Finance & Business team is committed to building a strong financial culture that empowers leaders, supports organisational priorities, and ensures long-term financial sustainability.
The Role
The Business Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the effective delivery of financial, administrative, and business functions across the portfolio.
As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, the role drives high-quality planning, performance monitoring, and resource management to support informed decision-making and organisational sustainability.
You will need to:
Provide strategic business expertise and advice to the senior leaders and senior operational staff, including staff from areas delivering services directly to patients and areas providing support services
Oversee the business requirements of the operational area(s), including budget and financial management, to support the effective use of allocated resources.
Deliver routine and ad hoc reports across finance, HR and service delivery activities highlighting risks, areas for improvement and strategies for implementation




Manage a range of funding service agreements

About the Candidate
Tertiary qualifications in a business / management or related field

Details of appointment
Permanent part time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight ongoing and 15.2 hours per fortnight fixed term for 12 months commencing as soon as possible.
Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$111,754 to $126,579 per annum (pro-rata).
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement ****.
