We're looking for a confident, friendly Sales Consultant to join our team at Mackay Harbour, selling and hiring shipping containers to customers across a wide range of industries.
n
This is an office-based role, perfect for someone who loves talking to people, enjoys the buzz of making a sale and knows the value of good follow-up.
n
What you'll be doing
n
No two enquiries are quite the same. One minute you might be helping someone organise a container for storage, the next you could be quoting a business on multiple units.
n
Your day will include:
n
n
Selling and hiring new and used shipping containers
n
Managing inbound phone and online enquiries
n
Preparing quotes and following up opportunities
n
Helping customers find the right solution for what they need
n
Building strong relationships with new and existing customers
n
Coordinating with our transport, depot and operations teams
n
Keeping CRM records and follow-ups up to date
n
Working towards individual and team sales targets
n
n
Who we're looking for
n




You don't need to know everything about shipping containers on day one — we can teach you that.
n
What we do want is someone who:
n
n
Has strong previous sales experience
n
Is confident on the phone and enjoys talking to customers
n
Has a natural ability to build rapport
n
Loves following up and closing a deal
n
Is organised, reliable and comfortable juggling multiple enquiries
n
Has good computer skills
n
Brings a positive attitude and works well as part of a team
n
n
Experience in shipping containers, hire, transport, logistics, construction or industrial sales would be a bonus, but it's certainly not essential.
n
