Senior Contract Administrator / Junior Project Manager

Liveconstruction is looking for an ambitious Senior Contract Administrator or Junior Project Manager in Brisbane who's ready to take the next step in their construction career. This is a full-time position that is built as a genuine stepping stone into project management. You'll work closely with senior leadership who are invested in developing your skills, not just filling a seat.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your project management skills whilst overseeing contract delivery and stakeholder relationships across our diverse portfolio of construction projects.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Administer and manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including preparation, execution, and closeout
n
Monitor contractual obligations, milestones and deliverables to ensure compliance by all parties
n
Manage variations, claims and disputes, working with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently
n
Prepare and maintain comprehensive contract documentation and records
n
Coordinate with project teams, clients and subcontractors to facilitate effective communication and project delivery
n
Track project schedules and budgets, identifying and reporting on deviations or risks
n
Assist with procurement processes and tender management activities
n
Provide support to project managers and assist in project planning and execution
n
Generate regular reporting on contract status, project performance and key metrics
n
Develop and maintain templates, processes and best practice standards for contract management
n

What we're looking for

A genuine interest in progressing into project management, and a willingness to learn
n
Proven experience in contract administration within the construction industry
n
Strong knowledge of standard construction contracts and commercial terms
n
Demonstrated experience with contract drafting, reviewing and negotiation
n




Excellent organisational and attention to detail skills
n
Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
n
Proficiency with contract management software and Microsoft Office applications
n
Sound understanding of project management principles and practices
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
n
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and mitigate contractual risks
n
Relevant qualifications or certifications in contract management or construction management (desirable but not essential)
