About the Role
n
Working as part of an experienced maintenance team, you will be responsible for keeping production machinery and equipment operating safely and efficiently. The role will involve a combination of preventative maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding and equipment improvement.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and responding to equipment breakdowns.
n
Diagnosing mechanical faults and repairing machinery to minimise production downtime.
n
Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including interpreting relevant schematics.
n
Installing, modifying and commissioning machinery and equipment.
n
Assisting with machinery upgrades, improvements and relocation projects.
n
Performing precision fabrication and welding work, including MIG and TIG welding.
n
Using workshop equipment such as lathes and milling machines where required.
n
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, equipment manuals and specifications.
n
Investigating recurring equipment issues and contributing to root cause analysis.
n
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles.
n
Maintaining high standards of quality, GMP and workplace safety.
n
Recording maintenance activities and equipment information using maintenance systems.
n
Working with suppliers to identify and source suitable parts and components.
n
Supporting and sharing knowledge with other members of the maintenance team.
n
Reporting hazards, incidents and near misses in line with site procedures.
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Mechanical Fitter trade qualification and relevant industrial maintenance experience.
n
Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
n
MUST be competent in both MIG and TIG welding.
n
Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
n
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
n
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
n
A strong understanding of preventative and breakdown maintenance.
n
Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
n
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
n
n

$50-$54 per hour + afternoon shift loading + super.

Monday to Friday, 3pm-11pm afternoon shift.
