About the role

Binna Burra Mountain Lodge is seeking a full-time Maintenance & Grounds Manager to join our team in Binna Burra, QLD.
n
You will manage the planning, prioritisation, compliance, and oversight, while remaining actively involved in hands-on maintenance and grounds work.
n
What you'll be doing
n
Undertaking general maintenance and grounds duties including minor repairs, painting, basic carpentry, and physically demanding work such as regular inspection and maintenance of waterlines.
n
Daily operational coordination and task prioritisation.
n
Providing on-site supervision and direction to maintenance staff, contractors, and volunteers as required.
n
Identifying, prioritising, and addressing maintenance, safety, and presentation issues in a timely manner.
n
Assisting with WHS compliance, hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
n
Responding promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from guests and internal teams.
n
Assisting with event and function set-up and pack-down.
n
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and completed works.
n
About you
n
Demonstrated experience in a maintenance or grounds role, ideally within hospitality, tourism, facilities management, or a similar operational environment.
n
Experience supporting a manager in a senior or assistant capacity.
n
Strong practical skills across a broad range of maintenance and grounds tasks.
n




Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions on-site.
n
Strong communication skills with a collaborative and professional approach.
n
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety, presentation, and guest experience.
n
Availability to work weekends and public holidays.
n
Licences, tickets & compliance
n
Trade qualification or trade background (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or similar).
n
Experience working within WHS systems, including secure work procedures and hazard reporting.
n
Experience in SWTP (not essential but highly favourable).
n
Previous experience in a management or supervisory role.
n
Physical capacity to perform outdoor and manual work.
n
