About the Role
n
DFP Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst on behalf of a government client for a key ICT transformation initiative involving the replacement of a critical Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) solution. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Business Analyst to lead requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement and solution evaluation activities on a high-impact project that will support operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making and future technology outcomes. Working closely with business stakeholders, ICT teams, procurement specialists and vendors, you will play a key role in ensuring business needs are understood, documented and translated into a modern, fit-for-purpose solution that supports future operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead end-to-end business analysis activities for the AVL replacement project.
n
Elicit, analyse and document business, functional, non-functional and reporting requirements.
n
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement activities to define business needs and future-state requirements.
n
Analyse current and future-state business processes, workflows and information flows.
n
Assess business impacts, risks, constraints and project dependencies.
n
Support procurement, vendor evaluation and solution assessment activities.
n
Contributeto testing, implementation readiness, transition planning and user adoption activities.
n

Develop high-quality business analysis artefacts including:
n
n
Business requirements documentation
n
Process maps
n
Stakeholder analysis
n
Decision papers
n
Briefing materials
n
Change impact assessments
n
n
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring:
n
n
Extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst delivering complex ICT transformation or system replacement projects.
n
Solid capability in eliciting, analysing and documenting business,



functional and non-functional requirements.
n
Proven experience facilitating workshops and engaging with senior stakeholders, operational teams, ICT groups and vendors.
n
Experience developing current and future-state business processes and assessing operational impacts.
n
Knowledge of systems integration, data flows, reporting solutions and technology-enabled business change.
n
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
n
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation, executive briefings and stakeholder communications.
n

Desirable Experience
n
n
Experience within Government or highly regulated environments.
n
Exposure to telematics, fleet management, vehicle tracking, location-based services or operational technology solutions.
n
Experience supporting procurement processes, vendor evaluations and solution selection activities.
n
Relevant Business Analysis certification, including:n
n
CBAP
n
CCBA
n
PMI-PBA
n
IIBA-AAC
n
Equivalent recognised Business Analysis qualifications
n
