We're currently looking for an experienced Leading Hand Diesel Fitter to join our Fleet Services Workshop in Nambour.

The Role
n
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you'll provide hands-on leadership to our workshop maintenance team while continuing to carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs and diagnostics across our fleet.
n
This is a Monday to Friday role, offering a great opportunity for an experienced Diesel Fitter looking to step into or continue in a leading hand position in a workshop setting.

About You
n

Trade qualified Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Plant Mechanic
n
Previous Leading Hand or senior trades experience
n
Strong heavy mobile equipment maintenance experience
n
Ability to lead, support and coordinate a team of tradespeople
n
Solid focus on safety, quality and workmanship
n
Valuable communication and organisational skills
n
Ability to work independently and take ownership of workshop activities
n

About You

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead and support the workshop maintenance team
n
Carry out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and preventative maintenance
n
Allocate and coordinate daily workshop tasks
n
Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
n
Identify and resolve mechanical issues across the fleet
n
Support maintenance planning, parts requirements and job prioritisation
n
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with company procedures
n
Provide guidance and mentoring to apprentices and less experienced tradespeople
n
