About the role

We're looking for an

Administratorto join the Wynstan Group IT team and keep our technology secure, reliable and running smoothly across Australia and New Zealand.
n
This is a hands‐on role covering servers, virtualisation, networking, cloud, storage, backup and security, with opportunities to contribute to infrastructure improvements and projects.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Administer and maintain VMware vSphere, including ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA and DRS.
n
Manage Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP and related services.
n
Monitor performance, capacity, patching and infrastructure lifecycle.
n
Support server upgrades, virtualisation improvements and cloud migration.
n
n
Networking & Communications
n
n
Support WAN, LAN, wireless, VPN and SD-WAN across multiple sites.
n
Work with carriers and technology providers to maintain reliable connectivity.
n
Support Microsoft Teams, Teams Calling, AV and collaboration services.
n
Assist with Azure networking and hybrid connectivity.
n
n
Security & Resilience
n
n
Support firewalls, network segmentation and secure remote access.
n
Contribute to Zero Trust and security initiatives.
n
Maintain patching, hardening and monitoring standards.
n
Support vulnerability management, incident response, backup and disaster recovery.
n
n
Servers, Databases & Storage
n
n
Support SQL Server and other business‐critical database platforms.
n
Manage storage, replication,



snapshots and backup technologies.
n
Monitor capacity, performance and availability across core platforms.
n
n
Projects, Vendors & Stakeholders
n
n
Contribute to infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Work with vendors, carriers and managed service providers to resolve issues and maintain service levels.
n
Partner with IT and business teams to deliver practical technology solutions.
n
Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation and asset records.
n
n
About You
n
You're a practical, hands‐on infrastructure professional who enjoys solving problems, working across different technologies and collaborating with others.
n
n
Solid experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
n
Hands‐on VMware vSphere experience, including ESXi, vCenter, HA and DRS.
n
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory and enterprise networking.
n
Experience with Microsoft Teams, Azure and hybrid environments.
n
Knowledge of SQL Server, storage, backup and disaster recovery.
n
Understanding of infrastructure security, firewalls, patching and hardening.
n
Experience working with vendors, carriers and managed service providers.
n




Strong troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder skills.
n
A collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge and support the wider IT team.
n
A degree or relevant industry qualifications in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline would be beneficial, as would certifications such as VMware, Microsoft, Cisco or firewall/security certifications.
