About the role
n
The position supports the implementation of HSW programs, systems, policies, procedures and initiatives, assisting managers and employees to meet their health, safety and wellbeing obligations. The Advisor coordinates day-to-day HSW activities, maintains compliance records and systems, and contributes to fostering a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Deliver assigned work activities in accordance with agreed timeframes and priorities.
n
Provide accurate, timely and professional support to HSW programs and initiatives.
n
Actively contribute to a collaborative and performance-driven team environment.
n
Execute tasks that support the implementation of strategic objectives.
n
Support compliance with applicable health, safety and wellbeing legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
n
Assist in maintaining and refining systems and processes to improve operational effectiveness.
n
Provide practical HSW advice and support to managers and employees.
n
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate HSW activities and services.
n
Promote awareness of HSW responsibilities, programs and initiatives throughout the organisation
n
Assist in the implementation and review of safe work procedures and related HSW documentation.
n
Coordinate HSW training activities, inductions and awareness programs, maintaining training records and compliance data.
n
Monitor incident reporting systems and support managers to complete incident investigations and corrective actions.
n
Participate in workplace incident investigations as required and assist with documenting findings and recommendations.
n

Skills and Experiences
n
About you
n
Selection Attributes
n
n
Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline (essential).
n
Tertiary qualification in Safety, Health, Risk Management or a related field (preferred)
n
WorkSafe Approved Return to Work Coordinator Training (complete or to be undertaken - essential)
n
Auditor training or auditing experience (desirable).
n
Experience in a Health, Safety & Wellbeing,
Occupational Health & Safety or related support role.
n
Experience coordinating workplace safety activities, reporting and compliance documentation.
n
Experience supporting incident management, workplace inspections and return to work processes.
