The Role
Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking a skilled and motivated Water and Wastewater Network Operations Worker (Licensed Plumber) to join our Network Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of capital projects while helping maintain the critical water and sewerage infrastructure that supports our growing region.
Working as part of a dedicated team, you will assist with the construction, maintenance, repair and installation of water and wastewater assets, ensuring the reliable and safe operation of Council's network and services.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with the construction, maintenance and repair of water and sewerage infrastructure.
Undertaking installation, maintenance and fault repairs on water,
wastewater and sewerage assets.
Inspecting mains and service connections to ensure the secure, reliable and economical delivery of services.
Assisting with the installation of new water and sewerage infrastructure projects.
Maintaining amenities and associated plumbing infrastructure across the region.
Responding to emergency callouts and participating in a rostered on-call arrangement.
Delivering high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and in accordance with Council standards and procedures.

Class C 'Manual' drivers licence
