Our client is a well-established food manufacturing company looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter / Grain Popper Line Setter to join their Maintenance & Engineering team in Villawood.

You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and setting up production machinery to ensure safe, reliable and consistent production and must have experience with FMCG industry
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs safely and within your skill level
n
Troubleshoot equipment faults and minimise production downtime
n
Assist with production changeovers and machinery cleaning
n
Perform preventative maintenance and routine safety checks
n
Complete hazard reporting and maintain a safe working workplace
n
Carry out mechanical repairs and maintain accurate maintenance records
n
Perform daily equipment inspections
n
Assist with spare parts management
n
Complete GP head assembly and disassembly
n
Follow GMP, QA, safety and troubleshooting procedures
n
Maintain general housekeeping standards
n
Work occasional weekends or shutdowns when required
n
Perform other maintenance duties as required
n

Skills & Experience
n
n
Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter
n
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools
n
Previous maintenance experience in FMCG or food manufacturing highly desirable
n
Experience with production and food-processing machinery
n
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
n
Good knowledge of pneumatics; industrial controls experience desirable
n
Experience with preventative maintenance
n
Familiarity with computers and maintenance management software
n
Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
n
Strong communication and teamwork skills
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
n
Flexibility to work occasional weekends and shutdowns
n
