This opportunity is based on Sydney's Upper North Shore, with work from home flexibility available once you are settled into the role.

The Role
n
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will join a four-person payroll team and hit the ground running on a key backpay consolidation project ahead of an October payroll system go-live. Working closely with the IT/Business Analyst configuring the new platform, you will help ensure changes are tested, reconciled and paid accurately.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
n
Supporting the payroll consolidation and backpay project
n
Testing payroll system configurations and confirming changes operate correctly
n
Preparing and loading batch backpay payments into Dayforce
n
Validating backpay calculations and ensuring employees are paid correctly
n
Comparing current calculations with historical payroll transactions to identify discrepancies
n
Performing sample testing on known configuration changes and investigating variances
n
Processing, testing and reconciling backpay transactions in Dayforce
n
Your Background
n
To be considered for this Payroll Officer prospect, you will bring:
n
Several years of hands-on payroll experience
n
A sound understanding of end-to-end payroll and superannuation processes
n
Confidence jumping on the tools and supporting a fast-moving project
n
Dayforce payroll systems experience is preferred
n
Strong attention to detail, reconciliation skills and clear communication
n
Availability to work full time from the Upper North Shore office, particularly while onboarding
n
This is a temporary opportunity transitioning to a fixed-term contract of up to six months. Ongoing permanency is considered unlikely at this stage.
