Your new company Hays is the global leader in specialised recruitment. Our client is a leading energy company with a portfolio of commercial office buildings across West Perth. Due to ongoing operational requirements, they are seeking an experienced Facilities Supervisor to join their property team. Reporting directly to the Manager of Property and Facilities, you'll play a key role in ensuring their corporate facilities remain safe, professional, and operational while delivering exceptional service to internal stakeholders.
Your new role
Overseeing the day-to-day operation of multiple commercial office buildings across West Perth
Coordinating and supervising external contractors and service providers
Acting as the primary point of contact for building-related issues and facility requests
Undertaking minor carpentry and building works where required
Preparing offices, meeting rooms, and workspaces for business use
Troubleshooting and resolving facility-related issues in a timely manner
Managing contractor performance and ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard
Liaising with stakeholders across all levels of the business
Managing requests and communications through Outlook and other computer-based systems
Taking ownership of issues from identification through to resolution
Maintaining a highly professional and customer-focused approach at all times
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified Carpenter with a recognised Trade Certificate
Minimum 5 years' post-trade experience
Own vehicle and tools
Broad building knowledge of commercial facilities and building services
Experience coordinating and overseeing outsourced trades and contractors
Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to take ownership of tasks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Outlook and Office applications
Professional presentation and ability to engage confidently with stakeholders
Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
Current driving licence
Physically fit and capable of undertaking hands‐on duties when required
Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
