At Halliday Engineering we work with many industries with a specialised focus on defence, shipping, mining, and power generation sectors within the marine engineering industry. We design, procure, fabricate, and repair plant and marine assets interstate and overseas.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, we are offering an immediate start for experienced Mechanical Fitters and a Leading Hand Mechanical Fitter based at Hemmant in Brisbane. Your Responsibilities:
n
n
Installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment.
n
Fault finding and breakdown repairs.
n




Repair and refurbishment of pumps, valves, coolers, heat exchangers, drive shafts, gearboxes, winches, bulk handling equipment and more.
n
Shutdown and maintenance work.
n
Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
n
Working safely and efficiently to meet deadlines.
n
Maintain a high standard of workmanship.
n
n
for the Leading Hand role, duties are as above in addition to leading and managing a team of fitters.
n

Strong fitting experience.
n
Ability to work independently and within a team.
n
Reliable, hardworking and safety focused.
n
A team player, you can work on your own or in a team.
n
Trade certifications highly regarded.
n
