THE POSITION:
n
n
Assist in the preparation, bulk cooking, and presentation of meals to a consistently high standard across a variety of group settings
n
Cater for large school groups, corporate functions, and general day-to-day guests
n
Ensure meals meet dietary requirements and allergen controls, especially when catering for children
n
Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and presentation in line with HACCP and internal guidelines
n
Monitor food costs through effective portion control, waste minimisation, and stock management
n
Support the ongoing development of healthy menu options and nutritional awareness
n

THE PERSON:
n
n




Cert III in Commercial Cookery (essential for Chefs)
n
Food Safety Supervisor certification (highly regarded)
n
Proven experience in bulk or high-volume cooking environments
n
Strong understanding of allergen management and dietary needs, particularly in settings involving children
n
Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with both junior and senior kitchen staff
n
Passionate about fresh, café-style food with an eye for quality and presentation
n
Sound knowledge of food safety standards, OH&S; practices, and kitchen compliance requirements
n
Must be able to obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
n
