Base salary $105K-$128K plus 15.4% ABC nominated super(This role includes rostered loading, paid on top of the base salary)

The Role
n
The ABC is looking for a Producer to createcurrent affairs content for the 7.30 program, maintaining consistently high standards of original, creative and relevant material.
n
The Job
n
n
Produce high-quality local, national and international current affairs stories.
n
Develop original stories from idea to delivery.
n
Research, interview, film, edit and produce same-day stories.
n
Contribute to longer-term projects and team productions.
n
Research breaking news and make informed editorial decisions.
n
Share ideas, leads and interview suggestions.
n
Work collaboratively and support staff training.
n
Producer stories that reflect Australia's cultural, geographic and socio-economic diversity.

About You
n
You'll have:
n
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
n
Extensive current affairs TV producing experience in digital news with advanced journalistic skills.
n
Strong understanding of long-form TV production and storytelling techniques.
n
Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills; thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven team.
n
Clear grasp of programming priorities, audience needs, and key political, social and economic issues.
n
Proven body of work and strong contacts across politics, business and the broader Australian community.
n
Substantial video shooting and cross-platform filing experience.
n
Passion for telling diverse Australian stories, including cultural, linguistic and Indigenous perspectives.
n
