What's the opportunity?

Are you an experienced Underground Auto Electrician who takes pride in keeping critical mining equipment performing at its best?
n
Join the maintenance team at Mungari and play a key role in supporting a modern underground mining fleet. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll work across a diverse range of underground equipment, carrying out fault finding, breakdown response, preventative maintenance and electrical installations that keep our operation moving safely and efficiently.

Based at our Mungari Operations, you'll:
n
n
Carry out scheduled inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs on underground mobile equipment.
n
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults across a diverse underground fleet.
n




Perform breakdown repairs safely and efficiently to maximise equipment availability and reliability.
n
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation to support compliance and operational performance.
n
Identify equipment defects, improvement opportunities and reliability initiatives.
n
Work closely with supervisors, operators and fellow tradespeople to achieve maintenance and production targets.
n
Champion safe work practices and contribute to Evolution Mining's strong safety culture
n

This position is on a 7:7 roster, live locally in Kalgoorlie or we offer FIFO from Perth.

Before we get into the technical requirements, we're looking for a tradesperson who takes ownership, values teamwork and wants to be part of a maintenance team that takes pride in keeping equipment operating safely and reliably.
n
To succeed in this role you'll have:
n
n
Auto Electrical Trade Qualification (Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent).
n
Previous experience as an Auto Electrician within underground mining or a similar heavy industry environment.
n
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on underground mobile mining equipment.
n
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems on loaders, trucks, drills and auxiliary underground equipment.
n
Sound understanding of statutory and safety requirements within a mining environment.
n
A proactive approach to safety, reliability and continuous improvement.
