Are you an experienced freight forwarding professional with strong Air & Sea Export and Cross Trade experience?

We are partnering with a respected freight forwarding organisation seeking a highly organised and commercially minded Cross Trade Freight Forwarding Operator to join their team.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys managing complex international shipments, working with overseas offices and agents, solving operational challenges and taking ownership of the shipment from start to finish.
n
The Role
n
You will manage end-to-end Cross Trade movements and Export operations across both Air and Sea freight modes. Working across multiple time zones and constantly changing shipping schedules, youll coordinate international shipments while ensuring service levels, compliance and profitability are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Manage end-to-end Air & Sea Export Cross Trade shipments
n
Coordinate with overseas offices, international agents, carriers and local transport providers
n
Monitor vessel and flight schedules and proactively manage delays, cancellations and rolled cargo
n
Obtain and negotiate competitive freight rates with shipping lines, airlines and co-loaders
n
Process supplier invoices and resolve billing discrepancies
n
Prepare and verify export documentation including Certificates of Origin and customs documentation
n
Maintain strong communication with clients and overseas stakeholders throughout the shipment lifecycle
n

About You
n
Were looking for an experienced freight forwarding professional who combines strong operational knowledge with commercial awareness, attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving skills.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Proven experience in international freight forwarding
n
Strong hands-on experience across Air & Sea Export operations
n
Experience managing Cross Trade / Foreign-to-Foreign shipments
n
Understanding of triangular trade and switched Bills of Lading
n
Strong knowledge of Incoterms **** and international export requirements
n
Experience with freight rates, quotations and job costing - essential
n
CargoWise experience - highly desirable
n
Excellent documentation and compliance knowledge
n
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
n
A calm and solutions-focused approach in a fast-paced environment
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving abilities
n
The ability to work independently while contributing to a small, supportive team
