Job Description
Woolgoolga and District Retirement Village (WDRV) is a trusted not-for-profit aged care provider with a proud reputation for providing high-quality, person-centred care and services in a welcoming community environment.

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Business Support Officer to join our team on a part-time or full time basis.
n
Reporting to the Business Manager, this role provides day-to-day support across accounting, payroll and general business administration. It would suit someone who enjoys working with numbers, is highly organised, detail-focused and is looking for a varied role within a supportive community organisation.

About the Role
n
As Business Support Officer, you will work closely with the Business Manager to maintain accurate financial records and assist with the day-to-day financial and administrative requirements of WDRV.
n
The role is hands-on and practical, with responsibilities across accounts payable and receivable, payroll assistance, financial records, reporting and general administration.
n
You will also provide support with audits, compliance requirements and other business tasks as required.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
n
Assist with fortnightly payroll, including processing, superannuation and ensuring compliance with employee conditions and the WDRV Enterprise Agreement.
n
Assist with financial reporting, bond registers, resident financial records and agreements.
n
Assist with audits, accreditation requirements and maintaining financial and business records.
n
Provide general business and administrative support, including contractor and supplier documentation, responding to enquiries.
n
Contribute to continuous improvement of financial and administrative processes while maintaining confidentiality and a high standard of customer service.

Qualifications
n
n
Qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
n
Previous experience in accounting, finance or business administration.
n
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
n
Good knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
n
Good computer skills, particularly MYOB, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
n
Good organisational and time-management skills.
n
Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team.
n
Good written and verbal communication skills.
n
Ability to manage competing tasks and meet deadlines.
n
Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of customer service.
n
Understanding of confidentiality and professional conduct.
n
Knowledge of workplace health and safety and equal employment opportunity requirements.
n
Current and suitable police check or willingness to obtain one.
n
Experience with payroll, particularly shift work and penalty rates.
n
Knowledge of the Aged Care Act and residential aged care requirements.
n
Experience with trust accounting and audit processes.
n
Knowledge of quality and continuous improvement processes.
n
