This role is ideal for an experienced nurse with a passion for cardiac care and clinical education.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and the Staff Development Manager, you will play a key role in supporting staff development within the
Cardiothoracic/Cardiac
ward.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Delivering high-quality, evidence-based education and clinical support.
n
Developing, implementing, and evaluating learning and development programs relevant to the department.
n
Coordinating mandatory and non-mandatory training and in-service sessions.
n
Contributing to the hospital's quality improvement and safety initiatives.
n
n
About You
n
You are a dynamic and motivated nursing skilled with a solid clinical background in leading a team.
n
You are passionate about clinical education and professional development, with a commitment to supporting excellence in patient care within a multidisciplinary team workplace. Your leadership, communication skills, and dedication to continuous improvement make you a valued mentor and team member.
n
n
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
n
Minimum 5 years post-registration experience, including at least 4 years in a relevant specialty area.
n
Cardiothoracic, Cardiac
and/orVascularexperience/knowledge.
n
Proven experience in clinical education or preceptorship in formal and informal settings.
n
Sound knowledge of evidence-based practice in a clinical environment.
n
Excellent communication,



interpersonal and time management skills.
n
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
n
Postgraduate qualifications in Cardiac Nursing.
n
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or Postgraduate qualification in Education (or prepared to work towards).
n
Completion of a Preceptorship Program.
