Our client specialises in rotational engineering components, rotational engineering workshop and site services, reliability services, along with technical design and failure analysis engineering. They are a leading supplier and service provider to the industrial, mining, food & beverage, and resources industries across Australia.

About the Role
n
n
Operating manual lathes, milling machines, slotting machines, and shaping machines.
n
Manufacturing precision components from steel and other materials such as bronze and nylon.
n
Setting up machinery, selecting tooling, and adjusting speeds and feeds.
n
Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
n
Measuring and inspecting finished components to ensure compliance with tolerances.
n
Using overhead cranes to load and unload materials and components.
n
Maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
n
n
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am to 1:00pm.
n
Overtime available as workload requires.
n
Essential Requirements
n
n




Recent experience in a heavy industrial machining environment.
n
Proven experience operating manual lathes and milling machines.
n
Experience with manual slotting and shaping machines.
n
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and technical schematics.
n
Strong understanding of tooling selection, machine setup, speeds, feeds, and manufacturing techniques.
n
Experience manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances.
n
Proficient in the use and calibration of precision measuring equipment.
n
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
n
Ability to work effectively within a team workplace.
n
Current National Police Check or willing to obtain one.
n
depending on Cylindrical and bore grinding experience would be highly advantageous.
n
CNC machining experience.
n
