About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Machinist / Fitter
to join our team at our Oxley workshop.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys a variety of machining, fitting and repair work.
You will work on precision components and assemblies across a diverse range of industries, including mining, transport, defence, manufacturing and energy.
Key Responsibilities




Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools.
Perform precision machining, fitting, assembly and repair work.
Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Measure and inspect components to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards.
Assemble, fit and repair mechanical components and equipment.
Use precision measuring instruments, hand tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
Work closely with the workshop team to deliver jobs on time and to a high standard.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised work setting in accordance with WHS requirements.
This is a
full-time
position, working:
Monday to Thursday:
6:00 am – 3:30 pm
Friday:
Early finish
About You
You will ideally have:
Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner, Machinist, Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
Experience operating conventional and/or CNC machining equipment.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience with precision measuring equipment and quality inspection.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A positive attitude and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
