Role Overview
n
We are looking for an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Technical Lead to drive the design, configuration, and delivery of PolicyCenter implementations. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on Guidewire experience and be able to lead a technical team through end-to-end implementation, upgrade, or integration projects.
n
Core Skills Required
n
n
Solid hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter (configuration and/or integration) — Gosu scripting, PCF (Page Configuration Files),
data model, and rules engine
n
Experience across at least one full PolicyCenter implementation lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy)
n
Solid understanding of Guidewire platform architecture (Studio, Edge APIs, plugins, batch processes, messaging/event-based integrations)
n
Experience with integrations — SOAP/REST APIs, ICM (Integration Configuration Manager), and third-party system integrations (rating engines, billing, claims, document systems)
n
Knowledge of Guidewire Cloud (GWCP) is a strong plus, given the industry's shift to cloud-hosted Guidewire
n
Familiarity with insurance domain concepts — policy lifecycle, underwriting, rating, endorsements, renewals
n
Experience with Java, XML, SQL, and standard enterprise integration patterns
n
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git/SVN), and Agile delivery practices
n
Prior experience leading a technical team — code reviews, technical design decisions, mentoring developers
n
n
Important Pointers for This Role
n
n
solid, demonstrable Guidewire PolicyCenter experience — not just peripheral exposure. Depth of hands-on config/integration work matters more than years of general insurance IT experience.
n
Should be comfortable owning technical decisions and acting as the escalation point for the delivery team — this is a lead role, not an individual contributor role.
n
Strong client-facing communication skills — this person will interact directly with client stakeholders on technical scoping and problem resolution.
n
Prior experience with Guidewire version upgrades or migrations is valuable, given the engagement may involve upgrade work.
n
Any Guidewire certification (ACE – Guidewire Certified in PolicyCenter
Configuration/Integration)
will be a strong differentiator.
n
Should be able to provide technical guidance across the PolicyCenter module while collaborating with
BillingCenter/ClaimCenter
teams where applicable.
